Winter Wonderland in Raleigh: Sledders Unite, Drivings a Fright

A winter storm was looming. Other areas of North Carolina to the east and west of Raleigh already had snow, but only flurries in the capital. Nothing was sticking on Tuesday, but school was released early and we were settled in at the house before 6pm. We don’t venture out in this kind of weather. A New Arrival at Ramsgate Manor

We’re happy to announce that Caitlyn “Coco” Kalani has made her arrival at Ramsgate Manor (our home). She came home last week and we’ve been slowly adjusting to our new routine with Coco in the mix.

As many of you know, Zander started school this week. He’s excited to be starting first grade, but he’s even more excited to be a great big brother and help us around the house with his little sister. He was aggressive at first, but he’s learning fast that Coco is still a very tiny baby and needs time to continue her development. Continue reading →

Update on our Outdoor Living Space

You may remember that we started exploring creating more outdoor living space here at Ramsgate Manor. The project is well underway and taking a bit longer than we had expected.

Construction started in early May. We were planning on being out of town for about 3 weeks—which presented the perfect opportunity to get most of the project complete (in our eyes). When we returned from our trip to San Francisco and Honolulu, the deck had been framed and the planks installed. Unfortunately, the railing was not installed and the patio was an after thought.
