Hi Jason – I am a NC native and NCState graduate (Go Pack!). I’m currrently the Executive Director for a community development non profit here in Lakeland, FL. We are Lakeland Vision and we are currently researching the idea of hosting a CityCamp event. I’ve got a great deal of local interest. Any suggestions on best practices/tips for a first time event? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you, Tams Wright.

Jason – this is very helpful information. Thank you so much! Like you, I am also more skilled in project management and have a passion for engaging our community. So I love your perspective on approaching this project. I am doing mostly meetups and idea gathering sessions this summer and will make final decision in August for a CityCampLakeland later in the year. Thanks again. I’ll keep in touch and we will see you on twitter. -Tams
