Remembering Fall on the Outer Banks

It’s a cold and rainy day here in Raleigh. I decided to work on getting some pictures posted to hibbets.net today (I’m still way behind from the busy summer). Why not brighten up the day with some memories of the Outer Banks?

The first set of photo’s was an opportunistic sunset on Pea Island. My friend Tony and I were wrapping up a great surf session in Rodanthe when we saw the perfect set-up for the sunset. We pulled over at new inlet and got some great pictures.

The next set is from Labor Day weekend. After we went to the Western Carolina at NC State game, we got up early and headed to the Outer Banks to cap off the Labor Day weekend. We enjoyed sunsets, beach time, and time with our friends. Zander got in as much boogie boarding as he could.

Boy trip! Zander and I headed to the Outer Banks on Thursday evening (October 7, 2010). My friend Jason Schaeffer was in town from Colorado. We hooked up for a long run in Nags Head Woods and the Wright Brothers Memorial. After that, Zander and I grabbed some lunch at Stop N Shop, then joined the Shaeffer family on the beach.
