Salvo, North Carolina
As you conitnue south on Highway 12 you will pass through Rodanthe and Waves. You will
eventually end up in Salvo. It's a small town with a few good spots, but the best surf
sessions are found by luck. Get your 4 Wheel Drive, go over Ramp 34, and find a
nice little peak all to yourself.
Salvo is pretty isolated, really. If you're looking to get away from people
then this is your refuge. Surf is good from spring to fall but summer swells are hit
and miss. Winter swells are very lonely here, so you'll probably want a spot
with more than just a seagull.
