Boone
From October 4 -6, 2006 I enjoyed the fresh mountain air in Boone, North Carolina. I traveled from Raleigh on I-40 West to 421 North and found myself in Boone, NC in about 3 hours. I was attending a Leadership North Carolina conference. I stayed at the Broyhill Inn on the beautiful campus of Appalachian State University. Our group had the honor to attend a reception at the ASU Chancellors home. I got a small taste of nightlife at The Library. On the way back to Raleigh, I took a small detour and visited Blowing Rock and got a small taste of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
