USA vs Mexico - Red Hat Takes the Field
The International stage was set, Durham Bulls Athletic Park, Durham, North Carolina, July 19, 2003. The beer fridge was open in Skybox 7 of the ball park. Barry Duplantis, director of GSS, was saying thanks for all the hard work guys (um, and girls). It was Team USA vs. Team Mexico, hot dogs vs. tacos, miller Lite vs. corona light. Who would show up to play in the International battle, or better yet, who would show up to win? The Red Hat team was in the house, Barry brought everything together and made sure we had beer, munchies, and a good time. Kloiber, Mike, Kevin, and Larry were there, Michelle brought Sean, Frank brought Shannon, Summer brought Derrick, JP brought his wife Mary, and I brought MB. The smell of peanuts and cotton candy filled the air. We watched a great battle between Team USA and Team Mexico. The Stars and Stripes were victorious, winning 8-0.
